Pre-Operative MRI in HER-2 Receptor Positive and Her-2 Receptor Negative Breast Cancer: A Comparison

چکیده

Objectives: MRI is the most sensitive modality for local staging of breast cancer. Herceptin receptor over-expression seen in 15% - 30% tumours, and associated with increased aggression, poorer prognosis, higher grade at diagnosis lymphatic dissemination. This study aimed evaluating role positive vs negative tumours. Methods: 193 pre-operative MRIs were performed 2021 162 Her-2 37 Recall rates further biopsies (ipsilateral/contralateral) assessed both groups, largest size was compared to pathological invasive cancer DCIS. Results: 36.4% tumours recalled; ipsilateral malignancy identified 13.6%. Contralateral 1.2%. 29.7% 16.2%. No contralateral The OR having foci on 0.83 (CI 0.3, 2.2). Pathological concordance 70.3% negative, 48.6% Discordance groups due overestimation (70.8% discordance; 89.4% discordance). Conclusions: Pre-operative did not detect significant additional Significant groups; frequent cause discordance groups. Advances Knowledge: compares features It demonstrates that there no multifocality or multicentricity but over-estimates 51% cancers.

Breast Carcinoma; Human Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor-2 (HER-2) and Grading Correlation

Introduction: Overexpression of Human Epidermal Growth factor Receptor-2 (HER-2) is one of the most important prognostic and predictive factors of breast cancer, observed in 25% - 30% of breast carcinoma patients leading to poor prognosis and feasible anti HER-2 antibody drugs. The objective of this study was to evaluate the HER-2 frequency in target population and its correlat...

Relation between Estrogen and Progesterone Receptor Status with p53, Ki67 and Her-2 Markers in Patients with Breast Cancer

Background: Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women, containing approximately one third of all illnesses in women. Assessment of molecular markers is valuable in predicting the outcome of disease and decision making for optimal treatment. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between estrogen and progesterone receptors with Her-2, Ki67, P53, and clinicopathologica...

CD4+CD25+ regulatory T-cell frequency in HER-2/neu (HER)-positive and HER-negative advanced-stage breast cancer patients.

PURPOSE CD4(+)CD25(bright) regulatory T cells (Tregs) are increased in patients with several malignancies and correlate with disease stage and prognosis. Breast cancer patients represent a heterogeneous population with unpredictable disease progression even at advanced stages. Circulating Tregs in correlation with HER-2/neu (HER) status and treatment with chemotherapy, either alone or in combin...

Expression of heregulin, phosphorylated HER-2, HER-3 and HER-4 in HER-2 negative breast cancers.

A significant number of HER-2 amplified breast cancers is effectively treated by trastuzumab and further shows receptor-enhanced chemosensitivity. Recent studies have postulated transactivation of HER-2 also in tumors expressing phosphorylated/activated HER-2 (pHER-2) and of the HER-3/HER-4 ligand heregulin (HRG), independent of HER-2 amplification. As a consequence, a subset of tumors without ...
